Hippo

The Brief

Home insurance is a loud, commoditized category. Leaders compete on price, coverage and mascots, so consumers set it and forget it, remember only two or three brands, and expect almost nothing. Hippo is built differently: it bundles home insurance with smart-home sensors, home-maintenance services and expert support to proactively protect homes, keeping small issues from becoming big problems instead of waiting for disaster to strike.

Our audience is OWNERS (big O): proactive, confident, organized homeowners who want to stay one step ahead of their house, as opposed to small-o owners who are overwhelmed, reactive and don’t know there’s a better way. Our job is to make people expect more from their home insurance by making them believe Hippo can truly make them feel the housepower, backing that promise with proof of what Hippo actually does. The work must always read as home insurance PLUS preventative tech and proactive services, never as a maintenance or security brand. The tone should be smart, insight-driven humor in the vein of Mac vs. PC, never slapstick or corny, so that homeowners wake up and wonder why they ever settled for less.Beyond creating a campaign our clients proudly paraded through Hippo’s hallways, the work delivered real results:

Category-leading consideration: 83%, the highest in the category by 10% among busy Gen B repspondents.

Ad likeability: 15% above the industry norm

And while each spot closed on product messaging, the campaign did more than sell features. It was a meaningful driver of brand awareness for Hippo.

Bay FC (2023 / 2024)

The Brief

YEAR 1: We’re on the precipice of something historic, launching the first women’s sports franchise in the Bay Area. BAY FC will take the pitch at PayPal Park in March of 2024 and we need to make some noise about it. Let’s get the BAY AREA excited it’s newest franchise by developing a robust and impactful brand campaign that builds brand awareness, affinity and drives season ticket memberships.

So, we created a love letter from the Bay Area to the beautiful game of football. This love letter is fierce, aggressive and full of hard core players.

The inaugural game sold out with over 18,000 fans in attendance.

YEAR 2: We are game changers, here to disrupt the perception of what it means to be a professional sports team. We create space to make mistakes and learn from them to lead to better outcomes. Holding the power, the opportunity, and the tools for our collective success. Driven by diversity of thought and rooted in a love and respect for the game. Player-founded, built by legends, for the Bay – we were built for this moment.

We captured fleeting moments of dexterity, of skill, of passion, of pain, all in the beautiful, frozen-time feel, that 1000fps gives us - to show these women for what they truly are - superheroes.

Study.com

The Brief

After a year defining its brand strategy and evolving its identity, Study.com was ready to reintroduce itself to the world. The company was founded on the belief that education is the great equalizer, but today’s system too often acts as a filter rather than a bridge to opportunity. It is rigid and one-size-fits-all, and rising cost, time and location barriers widen the gap at every level. Study’s mission is to open the door to education’s life-changing impact for as many people as possible.

The campaign’s core target is young adults, 25–50, trying to unlock their careers: those preparing for certifications in teaching, nursing, real estate or counseling, who are anxious, short on time and sometimes retaking the test (Professional Test Prep), and those earning a degree for career mobility (College Accelerator). Students, teachers, administrators and parents are secondary audiences. Each of them is the hero of their own story, pushing past the barriers between them and their goals, and we need them to know that their breakthrough starts with Study.com. The proof: it’s simple, with bite-sized eight-minute lessons, quizzes and transcripts grounded in learning science; it’s individualized, with multiple formats and mobile access so people can learn their way, on their time; and it builds confidence through a steady stream of micro-successes that create momentum.

Pebble Beach

The Brief

For a century, Pebble Beach has been one of the world’s premier golf and leisure destinations. It welcomes nearly 2 million visitors a year, is home to the country’s number one rated public golf course, and invites guests to walk in the footsteps of legends who have competed in numerous U.S. Opens and other national tournaments.

For many, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime bucket-list trip planned years in advance. Others return again and again to share iconic moments like the 7th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links or the 4th at Spyglass Hill. It ranks among the three most recognized names in golf worldwide, and both the business and the brand are strong.

But legendary brands can rest on their laurels, and Pebble Beach won’t be one of them. To stay meaningful and relevant to future generations, it must stay open and curious about how to evolve while protecting what makes it special. Pebble Beach has the opportunity to bring its storied past to a new, more engaged audience with new tools, and write the next chapter of its legacy.

Make History.
